Give You Smile! (Beth's Birthday)

I'm woefully late on updating y'all on Beth's birthday celebration, but here's a belated look at all the fun! Because my parents were in town and we had to take them back to the airport on Beth's actual birthday, we celebrated with a steak dinner at our friend's house.

Give you smile! The balloons we found in Africa may be in English but the translation is lost on us.

So glad Mom and Dad got to join in on the fun!

Happy birthday Friend!

Before we left for the capital on her actual birthday, we surprised Beth with a little scavenger hunt.

Some of the clues were quite a stretch and some were just plain silly, but let's see which ones you can guess (everything was hidden in our house):

A. When the door is shut, within you can still see

As many colors as a mutt, if completely full is she

B. Up top it rests quite capably 

Shelved among others of it's kind

The theme within is most shapely

So if you look high, the next clue you'll find

C. Do not fret

The search continues yet

If you become to tightly strung

All your pieces will be flung

D. Down the rail we might slide

because a gift of yours, I did hide

It's opposite of the door

awaiting you on the first floor

E. Look high and low

the staple to find

look around zero 

and maybe behind

F. Near a cozy place for two

Lies another package for you

G. Lines running to and fro

A web that sways, when the wind does blow

H. Past the coats and furs, lies a land most fairy

Some even told Lucy that it was imaginary

A place full of wonders, which can sometimes be scary

If you search in the beginning, you'll find something to carry

I think Mom and I had as much fun coming up with all the rhymes (and Dad pitched in, too!) as Beth did solving them. 

At each location was a small lil happy, including lotion, candle, games, scrapbook, and ending with the Birthday Video all of you helped me compile!

A few weeks after her birthday, all the cards y'all sent finally arrived (african mail, what can you say?). The birthday celebration that lasted for weeks. ;) Happy birthday Beth! We love you!
